I am a qualified Group Analyst and Psychotherapist, working with groups, couples, and individuals. I have extensive clinical experience working in the NHS, the voluntary sector and in further education, particularly in the areas of sexual health, drug and alcohol addiction, and mental health.
I am a CPD trainer for the NHS and the Royal Society of Public Health, where I deliver training on behaviour change and health promotion theory
I hold full memberships with Institute of Group Analysis and Group Analysis Society International and am registered with both the UKCP and BACP, abiding by their codes of ethical standards and confidentiality.
I run psychodynamic therapy groups and see couples and individuals both online and in person. I also offer non-managerial supervision.
I help people to become more aware of the burdens and difficulties that brought them to therapy, and to become better equipped to deal with them.
Whether in group, couples or individual treatment, you will be invited to explore how past experiences have shaped how you are managing current challenges. By providing a confidential and containing space, I will support you to use such awareness to enable you to adopt different choices.
A key part of the therapy will involve dealing with matters which may be currently causing you distress. It is not only about looking at the past, but about exploring how to shape the present and ultimately the future in more constructive ways.
