In the past few years I have worked with clients who have presented with a wide range of health problems which include anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, family issues, loss and bereavement, loneliness and isolation, work stress, addiction, identity and sexuality issues, confidence and self-esteem issues.
I understand that it can be difficult to either start therapy or come back to therapy after a break. It is however, a sign of strength to seek help and talking therapy is one of a very effective ways to respond to your suffering in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, help you address symptoms which have been negatively affecting your life and above all, find and address the root cause of your problem so that you can create a change.
My way of working can be described as relational (building a safe and trustworthy therapeutic relationship), holistic (seeing a client as a 'whole person' that consists of body, mind, emotions and soul), and integrative, which means I incorporate techniques from different counselling modalities like Psychodynamic, Attachment theory, CBT (Cognitive, Behavioural Therapy), Mindfulness, Polyvagal theory and neuroscience, and Guided Imagery.
My focus is to understand what is blocking you as well as to explore, support and allow your hidden potential to grow.
I am a registered member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their ethical framework which underpins my work. My work is clinically supervised, and I am insured to practice.
