I offer a confidential and supportive space, dedicated to exploring together what matters to you. You may wish to try counselling because you're feeling stuck, confused, or that you have lost touch with your life's meaning or with who you are. There may be things you're struggling to come to terms with, or feelings you don't understand. You may be going through a difficult period of change, or you may feel you keep coming up against the same problems. My approach is humanistic, meaning counselling is a journey that we embark on together, not a fixed set of steps you have to follow. It is unique to you and we go at your pace. It is also integrative, meaning that I draw on a range of approaches and resources, as no single approach works for everyone. I have a particular interest in existential perspectives, i.e. exploring the fundamental aspects of our lives – things like choice, loss, responsibility and relationship – and what they mean for each of us as individuals. I welcome bringing mindfulness, creativity or dreams into our sessions, and things that might be hard to put into words. In a world that can feel distracting and demanding, counselling – where you are deeply listened to, without judgement - can be a way of taking time to reflect, notice and look at things differently. I currently work in person in central Bath on Thursdays and Fridays
I am a fully qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling from BCPC, and am a registered member of BACP. My standard fee is £50 per 50 minute session. I offer an initial session at a reduced rate, with no obligation, so that we can decide whether to work together.
