Are you finding life challenging, or possibly feeling lost, alone, anxious, sad or angry? I can offer you a safe and supportive space, in which we can explore the issues that matter to you.
Most of us will face moments in our lives where we experience unwanted thoughts and emotions, that may leave us feeling overwhelmed. In these vulnerable times it can be daunting to reach out to seek help and I understand that it takes real courage to do so. But it is within that bravery that we can begin the journey towards personal growth.
We all live unique lives, our experience of which can be affected by a variety of different factors, so therapy should not take a one size fits all approach. As a post-graduate M.A. qualified counsellor, I am able to draw upon my knowledge of different forms of counselling to provide an integrated therapy, that would be carefully tailored to support you, as we work together to meet your goals.
Central to my counselling practice is an interest in how we relate to ourselves, others and our environment (whether in the present or at a time in our past). This guides my genuine commitment to developing a strong and positive relationship with the people I meet, which is recognised as a key factor to successful therapy. I believe that working closely together to create an open and supportive space in therapy, makes it possible to explore any issue or topic safely.
Therapy is an active and engaging process, with the aim of moving towards meaningful change. I am therefore an insured practitioner with an enhanced DBS certificate and a full membership of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. I am ethically committed to providing the most therapeutic experience that I can to everyone.
I work sensitively with trauma and all forms of anxiety and I have undertaken further training to work therapeutically outdoors and can offer “Walk and Talk” sessions during daylight hours.
I run an inclusive and neurodivergent aware practice, that is open and supportive to all. I have experience of working with a diverse client base and a wide range of issues, that includes but not limited to:
· Grief
· Loss
· Isolation
· Trauma
· Anxiety
· Panic
· Abuse
· Assault
· Relationships
· Family dynamics
· Employment issues.
