About me
I am a fully qualified, integrative counsellor offering short-term and open-ended therapy (ongoing). Working in an integrative way means that I use an individual approach which caters to your specific needs.
I provide a warm, safe, confidential space in which we can be curious about what motivates or hampers you. It is a joint venture where you are the expert of your story.
Within our therapeutic work we can:
· consider practical strategies to tackle difficult issues, emotions or behaviours that may have become intolerable;
· explore your past and consider how this may inform your present;
· bring to awareness unconscious behaviours, thoughts and emotions that may be obstacles in understanding yourself and your relationships with others;
· recognise your ability and freedom to make life choices;
· discover how to trust your intuition, inner resources and strengths;
· identify and soothe physical symptoms of trauma, held in the body.
With approaches such as mindful meditation and creative arts techniques, you will have the freedom to express yourself fully, without fear of judgement or misinterpretation. We will almost certainly unearth uncomfortable and painful emotions, and with my support, empathy, compassion, and gentle humour, you can powerfully move past them and discover a more fulfilling way of living.
Starting the counselling journey can feel daunting but is often the beginning of a life altering transformation. Together, we work to unpack your story, bringing you new insights to enable you to develop robust healthy skills and move forward authentically, in all areas of your life.

Additional information
For information about session availability and fees please contact me. I will get back to you as soon as possible, to arrange a free, 15-minute phone consultation, to learn what you would like to achieve and where we can ask each other questions. I will also send you my professional contract. We can then decide whether you would like to arrange a full 50 minute in person session.
It is important that we feel comfortable with each other. Our initial session will involve a closer look into what has led you to therapy, discussing the contract and your goals for therapy, as well as deciding whether we are a good fit to work together.
If we decide to continue, we will have weekly meetings of 50 minutes each, at the same arranged time and day of the week. I can sometimes be flexible with the session times changing days, depending on availability.
Complete the form below with your details and therapy requirements - Jenny Mcleod will then contact you to discuss making a booking....
