I am an integrative psychological therapist offering counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psychotherapy. Since 2005 I have worked as a counsellor and psychological therapist for various charitable organisations and the NHS; and in 2015 started up my own private practice. I am also studying a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy, and am in the final year of the five year course.
I am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and work in compliance with their ethical codes of practice.
How I can help
I work with adults with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, health problems, isolation, childhood abuse, trauma, loss, and past and present relationship problems. I am able to offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy, taking into account the nature of clients; concerns and needs.
As an integrative practitioner, I am able to draw on knowledge of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, and humanistic approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being. I will work collaboratively with you to ascertain which way of working best suits your current needs. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel able to explore your difficulties in depth and where you can begin to increase your self-understanding in order to bring change and possibility.
