I am a BACP registered counsellor with experience working in the third sector, university settings and in private practice. I acquired my postgraduate diploma in counselling at the university of Edinburgh and I am trained in the person centered and the psycho-dynamic approaches.
I offer trauma-informed counselling that endeavours to meet you where you are and facilitates a safe space for self-exploration. I work in ways which helps you understand your internal world experience in the context of your external world and circumstances.
I am committed to offering an accessible practice by providing a safe and non-judgmental space to clients from all genders, sexual orientations, backgrounds and racial identities.
Some of the issues I worked through with clients include: anxiety, depression, suicidality, trauma, loss and bereavement, eating disorders, identity issues, sexuality, and major life transitions.
I also ran a women's support group in partnership with the charity Re:Act-Scotland to provide asylum seeking women a space to attend to their mental health and well-being.
I attend training and workshops regularly as part of my commitment to ensure continuity in my professional development.
