In my experience, psychotherapy offers a unique type of one-to-one relationship. It broadly aims to explore, understand, and perhaps heal some of the emotional and psychological difficulties that life may have brought you.
I have had several years of experience in my training practice, in which I try to cultivate an open, curious and welcoming environment. I believe strongly that no two people are the same, and that the therapeutic process should reflect this by being creative and collaborative, naturally following and taking form over time according to what is of value to you.
I practice as an integrative psychotherapist: This means that I draw a broad spectrum of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic theories (e.g. Jungian/Kleinian) and relational and humanistic styles. Between them, these different approaches suggest that there is a time and place for both insight and understanding (which helps to frame things for ourselves), and a more visceral experience of simply being cared for and heard by another person.
I am a UKCP- registered psychotherapist in training.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to the BACP ethical framework.
As a psychotherapist in training, I offer therapy at a reduced cost.
