To make changes to the way that we habitually do things we need to make sense of what isn't working well in our lives. The first step in any change is to notice what is happening in the present. Working with the right therapist can be invaluable in offering an outside perspective.
Coming to therapy can feel like a big step. An important factor for successful therapy is that you feel comfortable with the therapist that you choose.
I offer a warm, reliable and secure space where we can work together to understand what is going on in your life and how you might go about making changes.
Together we can: make sense of how your past is affecting your present, look at how you relate to yourself and others, pay attention to your patterns of thoughts and behaviours, bring awareness to how you experience your body and make links between your thoughts, feelings and bodily sensations.
I offer both short and long term ways of working. I can help with anxiety, bereavement, depression, loss, identity issues, self esteem, sexual identity, sexuality, relationship difficulties, spirituality, the experience of parenthood, the effect of gender roles and the patriarchy, working with internalised white supremacy, privilege and the effects of intersectionality. I welcome all clients.
