I am a psychotherapist in the final stages of my training offering affordable psychotherapy in Bath. I have been in private practice for the last 5 years.
I volunteered at Swan Project in Bristol for 2 years providing low cost therapy to individuals primarily struggling with addiction and covering a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
I am deeply interested in understanding the unique struggle each of us undergo throughout our lives. I believe in providing a safe, facilitating environment within which a process of unfolding and exploration can take place. Through greater understanding of our innermost self we can begin to allow the possibility for change.
My training is both humanistic and integrative. Humanistic therapy aims to help someone develop a stronger, healthier sense of self through understanding feelings and finding meaning in life. An integrative position emphasises the importance of bringing together a wide range of approaches understanding that there may be many different ways in which our worlds are shaped.
Particular areas of interest and experience include issues with identity and finding our authentic selves, strengthening our core self and how we might better regulate our feelings
