Craniosacral therapy is a gentle and subtle form of body work. It supports the body to release stress and tension to find a more peaceful and restful place which is imperative for the healing process.
The work can address physical aches and pains, acute and chronic illness, emotional and psychological disturbances or simply help develop wellbeing, health and vitality. When, for example, the body has had to cope with shock, long-term stress or illness, the natural state that promotes healing can become compromised. It is precisely this natural tendency which this holistic therapy helps restore; not only physically but emotionally and spiritually.
What to expect
Your session will begin with a discussion about your health needs to tailor the treatment to suit you. Each hour session will include approximately 40 minutes hands on treatment along with consultation and post treatment feedback. You will remain fully clothed for the session so please wear something comfortable. It is a good idea to drink plenty of water and take it easy after a session as the effect of craniosacral therapy can be felt up to 48 hours after treatment. An hour session costs £55 for a single session or £150 for 3 sessions.
Megan Hatto - Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist
I first came into contact with craniosacral therapy in 2014 after a long history of physical complaints and anxiety. Having tried a huge range of different therapies I've found that craniosacral has been the most beneficial and supportive.
Through my background in dance and movement I have experienced many forms of bodywork, and my work with Marina Collard, a dance artist and biodynamic craniosacral therapist, inspired me to train as a therapist myself.
The impact of this therapy has been influential and transformative, and continues to support me in finding a centred, grounded and stable lifestyle, allowing me greater insight into myself and my history, and a deepening understanding of the state of others.
Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle treatment for both client and practitioner. It is a beautiful way to be with another human, to be able to meet them non verbally, non judgmentally, exactly where they are at that moment in time. This in itself can be a great facilitator of healing.
