By working together, counselling can help us to explore and make sense of difficult feelings and experiences. I offer a safe, confidential space where clients can gain a clearer understanding of themselves and make a difference to how they feel. As an integrative counsellor, I am interested in a client's life story and experiences but also in how we relate to each other in sessions; better understanding of ourselves and our relationships enables us to have greater choice in how we respond to others and events.
You can contact me initially by phone or email to arrange a no-obligation consultation during which we can explore what brings you to therapy and I can answer any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for you to get a sense of whether I might be the right person for you to work with.
Subsequent sessions usually take place once a week at the same time for 50 minutes. I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I have experience of working with adults with a wide variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, work and relationship/family stress, bereavement, self-harm, addiction, trauma, abuse, chronic pain and illness.
