I'm Rebecca, a BACP registered integrative therapist working with adults in-person and online.
I work with people who are searching for personal meaning and understanding within their experiences of life, such as women's issues across the life span, issues faced by young people and university students, life transitions and choices, bereavement, anxiety and depression. I also have a specialist area working with people on the role that spirituality plays in their life, and how it intersects with our search for meaning and fulfilment.
Prior to counselling training, I supported young people in my roles as a secondary school teacher, in university education, international youth exchange, and outdoor education. I have also worked in palliative care, social services, and physical disability support. Through my background in performing arts, I also have experience in working with issues commonly faced by musicians and artistic-creative personalities, such as high-achieving / perfectionist drive, pressure, burnout / stress, anxiety, and depression.
The foundation of my work is relational, focusing on building a therapeutic relationship of trust, understanding and curiosity that allows you to explore whatever is troubling you, at your own pace. I use an integrative approach to draw on counselling approaches in order to tailor therapy to you as a unique individual.
Please feel free to get in touch to arrange a free consultation phone call, and find out if I am the right therapist for you.
