Rebecca Winsor

Rebecca has worked at the Natural Health Clinic Cotham since 1985 after graduating from a four year full time course at the European School of Osteopathy. She also worked at a predominantly cranial practice in Bath until 2000. At this practice she had regular access to osteopathic mentoring and joint treatments on a wide variety of cases.

There is a yearly requirement of 30 hours CPD; 15 hours of which is working with others, to maintain osteopathic registration. Rebecca has continued to attend courses on paediatrics, obstetrics, elder care, ergonomics.

She has recently completed the Sutherland pathway July 2014; a postgraduate modular training and assessment in cranial osteopathy, and is now a fellow of the Sutherland Cranial College. www.scco.ac

She works in several fields: musculoskeletal, back pain also joint injuries, headache and facial/TMJ problems, elder care, pregnancy, children and babies.

She is a firm believer in promoting understanding of and self help for conditions that people present with, as she has often found that the patient gaining an insight into how their condition occurred and how they can prevent it recurring; either through postural or exercise advice, is empowering and plays a significant part in recovery. If appropriate she will refer or treat alongside other therapies: mainly acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, homeopathy, Alexander technique- or refer back to your GP if other investigation is needed.
