Richard is a UKCP registered psychotherapist with experience in health and wellbeing related issues. He is a registered member of AFT (Association of Family Therapists), validating his skills and ability to work with couples and families, in addition to working with individuals.
Richard has worked with individuals, couples and families presenting with some of the following issues: Life transitions (conflict, adjustment, separation, divorce). Richard offers a warm, open and compassionate approach in his client work. He acknowledges the need for time and space to talk about difficulties, enabling and the person to experience understanding and respect of their challenges. His conversations/discussions in therapy enquire and explore strengths, resources and resilience with the aim to support movement towards change and the return of health and wellbeing. Richard can offer weekly, fortnightly or monthly sessions.
Online sessions: working systemically with individuals for those who want to explore the role their significant relationships have in supporting or affecting their mental health and wellness.
Richard can sometimes offer couple/family work remotely, depending upon the work that's required.
