I am an integrative therapist offering face to face and online therapy sessions. I believe therapy is a deeply personal journey and the therapeutic relationship is an important part of that process. It allows you to meet yourself at the core of who you are in a space that feels safe, non-judgemental, and empathetic. We have all been through something which shaped us into who we are. I am interested in learning more about what shapes you, your life experiences, your most meaningful relationships, and the impact it has had on who you are. I provide a space that allows you to think about why we sometimes respond the way we do to the people around us. Maybe there are feeling of guilt, anxiety, self-blame, people pleasing tendencies and the need to be perfect. Maybe you are looking to understand significant relationships in your life or manage some of the feelings as a result of earlier life experiences, we would work together to understand where these core beliefs come from and how to respond to those needs in a compassionate and transformative way. As a therapist with extensive experience working with various types of trauma I understand the multifaceted and nuanced nature of each individuals journey. I understand the anxieties these experiences result in and how daunting it feels to reach out. I understand that there various reasons why someone would seek therapeutic support and expressing vulnerabilities can be difficulty especially if we feel we will be judged or misunderstood. I work in a holistic way that considers your unique background and beliefs. I understand that your experiences shape who you are and the way you view the world. I work with adults who bringing concerns such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, bereavement, complex trauma, brain injury, adults in recovery, sexual abuse, and childhood trauma, particularly those who may have endured childhood bullying, dealt with emotionally immature or unavailable parents, parental conflict, or coped with the effects of growing up without a parental figure and childhood abuse with a particular focus on navigating through these complexities in a culturally sensitive and inclusive way. I have also worked with individuals who have experienced significant life changes such as homelessness and ex-offenders focusing on reintegration into society, along with members of the LGBTQ+ communities.
