There are times when it is helpful to seek the assistance of a sympathetic professional who is trained to help you with your problems. You may be experiencing a particularly difficult period in your life, or struggling with painful or unmanageable feelings. Or maybe you are just really stressed. Either way, seeking help can be a big step and possibly a little daunting, but it is often the first step on the path to greater wellbeing.
I am a psychotherapist, counsellor and stress management therapist and have experience in helping a wide range of people. My aim is to put you at your ease and really listen and understand you. There are a number of skills I may draw upon from my training depending on what sort of help you need. I would seek to work together with you to discover out what you find most helpful.
For counselling and psychotherapy I normally suggest an initial meeting, followed by a set of six sessions if we are both happy to go ahead. After those six sessions we would review and then continue if we both feel this would be beneficial. I have regular supervision and all sessions are strictly confidential.
