I am an BACP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor offering talk-based therapy. I don't believe in a once size fits all approach and so I use multiple therapeutic approaches to suit my clients. I do, however, work from a soulful (transpersonal) perspective which means I consider what meaning we might make of the difficulties we face, as well as looking to understand what events and patterns might have created those difficulties. I am IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed and also draw on my creative background to find different ways of exploring your internal world and the situation in which you find yourself. Our work together will support immediate challenges and look to understand the ways in which the past may affect your present. Together we can reflect on who you are and what is important to you now and moving forwards. Research shows that the most important factor for therapy to be successful, is the relationship between client and therapist. I work in a warm and sensitive way welcoming open conversation, and bringing my full self and life experience to our work together. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space - there are no wrong answers in therapy and all parts of you are welcome. I embrace exploration of your wider context such as family, culture, community, the environment, socio-economic factors, race, class, gender, sexuality, identity, and many other things which all profoundly impact how we experience the world. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a session to explore whether you would like to work together.
