Firstly, I understand that reaching out to a therapist can feel really daunting, so I welcome an introductory session during which we can both talk about how we may like to work together. We can talk about your reasons for seeking therapy at this point and what you feel you would like to gain from the process. We can also chat through what sort of commitment is required, how it works and any other questions you may have about myself or the process of psychotherapy.
What I can offer you is a safe, confidential space to explore, accept and heal. I value individuality, honesty, integrity, finding your own way, connection, and relationship. I believe that by choosing to talk to a therapist, you have taken the first step toward empowering yourself to find answers, and towards creating movement and change in your life. I can guide and support you through this process, though I also realise that it can be a difficult process at times.
The issues that people bring to psychotherapy are unlimited. Nothing is off limits, at least for an initial discussion, and if I can't help I will try to signpost you to someone who can.
My training is in 'Integrative Psychotherapy' which means I draw on theories that link our past experiences with how we are in the present, but also work very much in the moment, supporting you through your current situation whilst building and strengthening your own ability to be healthy in yourself and your relationships.
I can currently offer sessions in Bath on a Tuesday afternoon/evening and a Thursday afternoon/evening. Please get in contact for more details around timings. I also work from Frome on a Wednesday and Thursday morning. My fee is offered at £60 for a 50 minute session.
