About Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a subtle but profound hands-on therapy that works with the underlying forces that govern our health. It is a truly holistic approach to bodywork, recognising that the mental, physical and emotional aspects of the body all form an integrated and intelligent whole.
In co-operation with your body's own inner health and wisdom, CST engages and supports the inherent capacity for self-healing.
CST uses a gentle, non-invasive contact; the therapist working with 'listening hands' and an attentive and non-judgmental presence.
The tide-like motions of the craniosacral system can be felt throughout the whole body and are our deepest expression of health. Craniosacral Therapists palpate these subtle rhythmic motions and work with areas of 'stuckness' or inertia, to restore vitality, fluidity and balance.
What is unique about CST is its ability to work with the source of symptoms on every level, whether mental, physical or emotional, and can therefore address and alleviate a wide variety of conditions.
Sessions may help with:
physical aches, pains and restrictions
acute and chronic illness and injury
emotional or psychological disturbances
CST can be used on an on-going basis to support overall health and wellbeing, helping to develop a sense of connectedness, grounding and resilience throughout life's challenges.
