About Dr Phipps

Dr Phipps qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 1987 after training for 9 ½ years and since that time has been working in the area of mental health both in the NHS and privately. A Clinical Psychologist aims to promote psychological well-being and alleviate distress through the application of talking and behavioural therapies. As such Dr Phipps works with individuals, groups and families experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, she also undertakes assessments for specific developmental disorders/cognitive difficulties.  Dr Phipps is an independent Consultant Clinical Psychologist who provides services to individuals of all ages, families, organisations, Rehabilitation Companies and Solicitors she is registered with the British Psychological Society and the HCPC, her main areas of expertise are:

As well as her clinical expertise Dr Phipps has extensive experience working in the legal domain and has undertaken comprehensive assessments for the courts as an Expert Witness as well as having experience in working with people from different cultures and ethnic backgrounds.
