Welcome to The Practice Rooms Find a Therapist search facility.
We recognise that finding a therapist can be a tricky undertaking and we hope that these pages will make it easier for you to find the right person.
You can search here for therapists working from our rooms, by location, by profession, by name and by any symptom you might be suffering from. Our website enables you to make contact with the therapist of your choice using the contact details listed.
When making your choice, please note that a practitioners presence on this website or their working from our rooms does not constitute our endorsement. Whilst in their registration procedure we have seen evidence of professional qualification, indemnity and accountability we urge you to satisfy yourself that any professional you choose is appropriately qualified by making your own independent checks with their accrediting professional body.
Please make contact with the therapists directly through the contact details listed here not via The Practice Rooms as all practitioners are independent professionals responsible for their own practice and appointment schedule.
Serious about Wellbeing
Healing (etymologically arising from the Anglo Saxon halen hal meaning whole) - we believe is not about separate parts but recognising and valuing body, mind and spirit and the different modalities and approaches that address them, as part of a wider wellbeing practice. (Of course, this includes the valuable, but not exclusive, contribution of the allopathic medical perspective).
Additionally, we believe that 'wellbeing' itself is not so much a place to get to, or a battle to be fought but rather an ongoing practice. It's a journey, a road we are all travelling and perhaps, in the end, the way of living with a question, the answering of which is our own life lived and death died.
If you have arrived at this place of practice in yourself for the first time, we suggest you allow yourself to be guided to practitioners and therapies, not so much by the need to find the 'right' or 'perfect' therapist, but as the beginning of your own healing journey. A journey that might deepen your understanding of your symptoms. 'Problems' not as separate things and irritations to be simply 'got rid of', but as opportunities to get to know yourself more deeply, more fully, more truthfully. To paraphrase the poet Rilke perhaps along some distant day live into the answer of what wellbeing means for you.
We wish you well and hope that within this directory and at The Practice Rooms themselves you begin to find a path to the peace and healing you seek.
