N.A.E.T. (Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Technique) is a revolutionary approach to allergy treatment which was pioneered by Dr. Nambudripad in1986 following years of suffering from her own allergy-related health problems.
She conducted research over a period of fifteen years which eventually resulted in the method for diagnosing and treating allergies of all types known as N.A.E.T. She combined techniques from different disciplines of medicine including; allopathic medicine, kinesiology, chiropractic, acupuncture and acupressure.
Her breakthrough moment occurred when she attended a course on electromagnetic fields and acupuncture. She realised that everything has an electromagnetic field and sometimes these fields are repellent to each other. If the body is repellent to a specific thing such as an item of food or something in the environment, an allergic response can result. She observed that acupuncture could be used to alter the adverse charge of the allergen to match the charge of the body.
Using this knowledge she then developed a method to reverse allergies using acupressure and acupuncture points on the body in conjunction with exposure to the allergen. There are no needles used in the process. During a process pressure is applied to the points either side of the spine and then various acupuncture points on the body are stimulated which releases any blockages in the meridians (energy channels). Babies and children too young to be treated on their own can be treated using a surrogate.
One allergen is treated at a time. In the first few visits 15 basic essential nutrients are tested and if necessary, treated. After this other food or environmental allergies can be treated. Once an allergy is treated there is a period of at least 25 hours during which contact with the allergen is avoided. After this period has elapsed the person can be re-tested using kinesiology and in the majority of cases the allergy has gone. If not the process is repeated but this is rarely necessary. (Kinesiology is a muscle testing technique which indicates an allergy by testing the strength of resistance to pressure on the arm. In the presence of an allergen the muscle will be weak and when the allergy is not present the muscle is strong).
In October 2011 a study was published which demonstrated the efficacy of NAET as a treatment for autism. The study, involving 60 autistic children was published in “Integrative Medicine – A Clinician’s Journal (Vol.10 No.5). For more information check the website: naet.com.
Dr Rosy Daniel, Integrative Medicine Consultant says: “NAET is the most promising methodology I have found for treating allergies, sometimes giving sufferers complete relief from very troublesome problems such as hay fever, skin rashes, digestive problems and fatigue.”
Following a course of N.A.E.T. treatments many sufferers of chronic illness have found that their symptoms completely disappear. Dr Nambudripad has written several books on the subject. In her book entitled “Say Goodbye to Illness” (2002) she quotes many examples of such case histories.
