Rather than focusing on the problem, which can be daunting and anxiety generating, solution-focused work instead concentrates on reaching the future that you want, and the person you want to be. I use evidence-based practice, including visualisation and Solution-focused Brief Therapy techniques, to help you make positive, effective and lasting changes. Talking things through is a very effective way to reach solutions, and adding hypnosis to this allows the mind to relax to a point where the subconscious brain becomes engaged and change can occur more rapidly and at a deeper level. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that has been used for centuries for therapeutic purposes. I like to think of it as using your brain to heal yourself, without resorting to drugs or interventions.
Solution-Focused Hypnotherapy can be effective for a wide range of challenges: from phobias and anxieties, unwanted habits like smoking and phone-checking, insomnia, disordered eating, acute and chronic pain and performance and mood.
