I qualified as an acupuncturist in 2007 and am a fully-insured member of the British Acupuncture Council. I have a licentiate diploma in acupuncture from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and a BSc in acupuncture from the University of Portsmouth. I work with clients who present with a wide variety of symptoms. These include stress and anxiety and depressive conditions, chronic and acute pain, morning sickness and breech presentation and induction, menstrual issues, migraines or chronic recurring headaches, and side-effects of menopause and peri-menopause. I also regularly see clients who present with a wide range of "difficult" conditions that conventional western medicine can sometimes struggle to address, such as ME, insomnia, tinnitus, erectile dysfunction, and, more recently, long covid. As well as offering effective treatment for specific conditions, many of my clients report that treatment enhances their general wellbeing and report improved sleep patterns, energy levels, and digestion. I have many regular clients who therefore come for periodic treatments, usually monthly or seasonal, as a means of maintaining health and being able to perform at their peak. The ancient Chinese of the Han dynasty had a saying "the inferior physician treats illness, the superior physician prevents it". While I certainly cannot promise the secret of immortality or eternal youth, I like to think that regular acupuncture treatment can be used to balance clients' health to prevent some problems from emerging. In 2014, I completed a course of studies at the London College of Massage to add therapeutic & deep tissue massage to the range of treatments I can offer to clients.
