I offer both Craniosacral Therapy and Counselling. I am also trained to work one to one with TRe (trauma releasing exercises) and Relational Mindfulness.
I have been working on a one to one therapeutic basis with clients for over 15 years and am passionate about bringing the experience of the embodied mind into balance and improving our (both clients' and my own) relationship to "inherent Health" and our full life potential.
Craniosacral is a type of holistic bodywork originating from the field of osteopathy, which uses relational touch and deep presence to palpate (or listen) to what is held in the clients body and to work with the inherent healing potential of the body to release and unwind unhelpful holding patterns or traumatic imprints. It is a therapy that has profound potential for long lasting change. People come for all kinds of physical or emotional issues; acute and chronic and its subtle, gentle nature makes it suitable at all stages of life. I work with babies, youth, adults and elders. Clients remain clothed.
I also offer relational Counselling, drawing on various therapeutic models such as person-centred, gestalt, psychodynamic and Mindfulness where it feels appropriate. Each person, I believe, is unique and so adapting and exploring what is helpful for you will be part of our "work" together. What is common in all my counselling relationships is to provide safety, warmth, containment, empathy and attunement and to welcome the whole of your unique human experience.
I have experience of working with;
My approach is to listen, support, reflect and invite enquiry into thoughts, sensations, behaviour, emotions, hopes and fears. To walk alongside you with curiosity and compassion. This can bring amongst other benefits; safety, clarity and real relationship to our true selves.
Whatever your experiencing in these difficult times, you needn’t be alone.
