About me

I am a warm and down-to-earth Counsellor working with adults and young people (11+) in person and online.

Often, we can feel alone and like no one understands. I believe everyone deserves to have somewhere they can feel cared for, supported and understood and so I aim to provide this through my sessions.

My sessions are a confidential, non-judgemental and relaxed space where we work together to help you understand yourself and your needs.

How counselling can help:

I am an Integrative Counsellor, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches so I can tailor our sessions to suit your needs. I also hold a specialist qualification in counselling young people and have great passion and experience in working with:

– Neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia etc)
– Anxiety
– Panic Attacks
– Young people (11+)
– Trauma
– Sexuality and Sexual Identity
– Low self-esteem
– Family/Relationship Issues

I believe that working through our past experiences can help us to understand ourselves and therefore grow our self-awareness so we can think about what we need in our lives right now.

For young people particularly, I believe it can be helpful to work on understanding emotions and how they can affect us so we can think about what can help. Additionally, working in a playful and creative way in order to fit the age and developmental stage of the young person.

What to expect in your first session:

I believe that the therapeutic relationship I have with my clients is a core part of the counselling process, and so I aim to provide a calm and comfortable space where trust can build and positive change can happen.

First sessions can understandably cause anxiety. I aim to help you feel as comfortable as possible depending on your needs, which could include something practical such as providing fidget toys and by providing a calm environment which you will begin to get used to as sessions go on.
