Sandrine Marinho

Hello, I’m Sandrine – a qualified and registered BACP therapist offering a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore what’s happening in your life. I work with adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, perfectionism, burnout, or relationship difficulties. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of how to move forward -perhaps repeating familiar patterns that no longer serve you, or feeling weighed down by shame, guilt, or self-doubt. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, thoughts, and emotions at a pace that feels safe for you.

My aim is to help you gain clarity, rebuild self-confidence, and reconnect with yourself. Therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and begin to understand yourself more deeply – not only what hurts, but also what helps you grow. As a mixed-Black therapist who also speaks French, I bring an open and culturally sensitive perspective to my work. I understand that identity, culture, and belonging can shape how we experience ourselves and our relationships. For some clients, these themes are central to our work together – exploring feelings of difference, exclusion, or the pressure to “fit in.” For others, therapy may focus more on day-to-day challenges or a wish to feel more at ease and authentic. However you arrive, this is a space where all parts of you are welcome.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from different therapeutic perspectives depending on your unique needs. This may include exploring how the past continues to influence your present (from a psychodynamic perspective), or identifying your existing strengths and resources to support positive change (informed by solution-focused ways of working). Above all, I focus on the therapeutic relationship between us – as I believe it’s through genuine connection, trust, and empathy that healing and growth take place.

Many of the people I work with have spent years trying to “hold it all together.” This can be particularly true for men, who may have been taught to stay strong and keep emotions in. Therapy provides a rare space to lower that guard, explore feelings safely, and reconnect with your sense of self and emotional freedom. I offer both short- and long-term therapy, depending on your needs. Some clients come for a few months to focus on a specific issue, while others choose to work more deeply over time. Sessions are available online and face-to-face in Shoreditch.

If you’re considering therapy, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call – a relaxed opportunity to see how it feels to talk together, ask questions, and decide whether I might be the right therapist for you. You can email, text, or call me, and I’ll get back to you within 24 hours. Fees : £70 (50-minute session)

Online and/or telephone appointments are available.
