Ali Rose
Hi, my name is Ali Rose and as a body-orientated Somatic therapist my work can combine dialogue, clothed bodywork and movement offering an integrative approach to body-mind wellbeing. I work from The Practice Rooms in Clifton Village, Bristol (BS8).
SOMA describes the intelligence of body experienced from within, and somatic approaches connect us to our inner experience. Somatic therapy is a professional field rooted in science but with a holistic approach that recognises mind and body as inseparable. Somatic Therapy reminds us body is not something we have but where we experience ourselves and sessions give space to body intelligence and wisdom.
I meet body, emotion, mind, and spirit as interconnected expressions of wholeness and in doing so, believe therapy has the potential to bring about meaningful and lasting change. It can be an effective therapeutic approach for many people through bringing fresh insight to old issues and integration of life experiences.
My role is to support your understanding of your body and how it communicates, trusting it as an ally even when expressing through symptoms and dis-ease. As a body orientated somatic therapist my work is experiential in nature, where movement and clothed touch can play an invaluable role in supporting body-mind connection and nervous system regulation.
